Most likely the Wii would have costed a lot more at launch, development costs would have been higher which would have reduced the number of games and it would have gotten ports of 360/PS3 games with tacked on motion controls. The system would have not taken off as it did and third parties would have had legitimate reasons to drop/decline serious support, especially because their halfassed ports wouldn't have sold that well.

The real questions whenever these Wii HD predictions pop up are why is it the current market leader who is the most in need of incorporating features of the other companies? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Isn't that what Microsoft and Sony are already acknowledging and planning to do? Trying to catch up to the Wii?

You realize logic doesn't work on the internet right?
