China was why the Korean war was lost I think was generally his point...

and it's generally true.  The US and allies lost Korea because they were in essense fighting a land war with China.

Though i'm pretty sure he was also joking.

As long as we're throwing blame around, isn't that how it went? (Admittedly, he almost won us the war before he did that.)
