Yep, I think of it like this. I can see how someone can believe in a general creator (agnostic), that's a kind of plausible thing to believe in (even though I don't). But to believe in a specific god isn't IMO. This is because all gods have the same bearing as far as evidence is concerned. And so this leads me to the conclusion that believing in a personal god is a waste of time, because you have a one in a million chance of getting it right, so why even bother devoting your life to just one if you're going to do it?
However, this is just my opinion.
