I am going to give you suggestions I would give to myself,
First off I would stay away from Blue Dragon no matter how cheap it is. Marumaru is enough to make you hate this game and the storyline is weak and just plays like a bad anime.
Lost Odyssey is worth a pick up if you are a fan of old school turn based combat like used in the older Final Fantasy titles.
I can't stress enough that you should try to find a copy of Tales of Vesperia. The game isn't perfect, I won't lie. However this is by far the best experience I have had with a JRPG title this generation.
So there are my suggestions in terms of JRPG. LO and ToV.
