Honestly, I thought this thread was far more about the attitude of the developer than anything else ... A company can choose to include or exclude any features they want, but when their reason is fairly weak they should expect criticism. Basically, all a company ever needs to say when they are about to release a new IP to justify dropping features is "We wanted to focus or efforts towards making the best experience possible, and not necessarily on having the most features, so we picked the features we thought we most important and focused on implementing them well".
