Microsoft posted a loss for the quarter. The net for the year is a profit.
If your reponse is to my original post, you should take a business class. Profits and losses are reported quarterly and yearly. A quarterly loss does not mean a yearly loss. Microsoft actually posted a profit for the year despite the quarterly loss.
