I am using Killzone2 as a measuring tool because it was the biggest Ps3 game released this year so far.
If Killzone2 could do 750,000 first week.... Shouldn't Uncharted 2 do atleast that same amount?
Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, unlike the original Killzone on Ps2, had a fairly big fanbase.
Uncharted 2 is releasing right before holiday season and that will help Uncharted 2 sell more LTD. It wont have that big drop off after the first two weeks like KZ2 did. Killzone2 in contrast was released post-holiday season during a dry period, right after another FPS (Resistance 2) came out.
Uncharted 2 has had a multiplayer beta which was positively received by players and has helped create hype and word of mouth.
Uncharted 2 won Game of Show at E3 and is a frontrunner for many Game of the Year Awards. Don't underestimate it. Those awards help push sales.
Uncharted 2 has a ton of pre-order bonuses! KZ2 had none. You can bet that all those stores with the bonuses made a deal with Sony that they would advertise the game in-store if they got a special pre-order for their store.
Will Uncharted 2 have better First Week sales than Killzone2? What game will sell better LTD?
