Nintendo Wii vs Original Xbox

the Wii is only a little more powerful then the original Xbox, but it does do things a bit better, and lets not forget that technology as a whole is improving, if a developper in 2009 tried to make an NES game they could do things with it that would be considered impossible in the late 80's and early 90's
