Professional competitive gaming is a ridiculously niche market. It won't affect sales at all. Now if Sony is still advertising for EA sports come next month like they have been for Fight Night and NCAA Football, then that could have an effect on the sales.

i think madden on the ps3 could end up selling better on ps3 now 4 a few reasons
1. there may b a ps3 slim bundle with madden 10
2. there was 1.3 mil people who bought madden 09 on ps2
3. ps3 wasn't that far behind (2.3 mil vs 1.6 mil) considering xbox's large lead in the US were madden matters
4. more people willl buy madden on ps3 because on the tornaments madden is one of the largest comptatived played games with a very loyal audiance that will buy it on ps3 insteed of xbox

How many people are legitimately in these tournaments in total? 5,000 competitors maybe? Let's say 100% switch. There's your increase. Basically nothing.

Well Madden is being made on PS3 first then ported over to XBOX 360 along with most of the games EA has made in 08 and 09.

Maybe thats why they are focusing on the PS3 for tournaments.

Not at all. It's part of a deal Sony has going with EA Sports where they are advertising their games for them. Haven't seen any TV lately?

We get it, we get it, Madden on PS3 is gonna suck and the PS3 is doomed.
