why are people so hostile to the idea of add-ons in the game database?

I say add the Famicom Disk System, 32X, 64-DD, E-Reader, Jaguar CD, Turbografx-CD, Neo-Geo CD and so on

I mean why not? Lets complete this database and get it done.
