The did the same thing with the first game, and I didn't really feel cheated. I'll get this one as well whenever they announce it for NA.

The first one also had quite a bit of DLC, and in total, it cost more than the game itself: 2500 points while the game was 1500.  There were a few things different that made it seem less a rip-off.

  1. There wasn't as much DLC (13 vs. 16), and individual items cost less than the ones here; the most expensive King DLC was 300 points (there was an 800 point one, but that was for three items), while the most expensive Dark Lord DLC is 600.
  2. The content was released over time, so we didn't see this huge list of paid add-ons when we bought the game, so it never felt like they were gouging us; unless you only recently bought the game and see the full list of content.
  3. Also, by releasing content alongside the game, it makes it feel like this is withheld content, that it was ready to go with the game, but was taken out for the explicit purpose of making people pay more for it.  If the DLC came out a couple months down the road, then it would seem like the developers put out a complete game, and are spending extra time making more content for it, and of course you're expected to pay for that.
