The ONLY fair way of comparing sales is to compare the Ps3's 2.5 year lifespan sales, to the Xbox360's first 2.5 years.

 

And Ps3 has sold BETTER than 360 in that same amount of time.

Thats not fair at all. The 360 has been out a year longer and always will have been out a year longer. It doesnt help Sony, Microsoft, or anyone else to try to base sales (of all things) in a fanciful world where they launched together.

All that matters is todays current sales. They matter because they well enevitably be closer to the end result than yesterdays sales, and most certainly closer than sales in the world of pretend.

It's not fair to compare 2.5 years of sales to 2.5 years of sales, but you think it's fair to compare 2.5 years vs. 3.5 years of sales.
