With Goldeneye, Rare has 100% rights to the game, but Nintendo owns part of the coding (or something) so Rare would have to completely recode the entire game in a different way in order to get around it. Could be the same deal with DK, where Nintendo owns the franchise but Rare has some stake in the code. Though I have no idea how the 2D DKC games got up there if that`s the case. |
I don't think that's the case as I believe Activision now owns the rights to the James Bond franchise.
