because The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Super Mario World 1 and 2, the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, the Final Fantasies, Starfox, Killer Instinct, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, the Kirby games, Street Fighter II, Super Punch Out, the Super Star Wars trilogy, Secret of Evermore, The Mortal Kombat trilogy, Super Mario Kart, Earthbound, ActRaiser 1 and 2, Contra III, F-Zero, Illusion of Gaia, the Mega Man X trilogy (So much better than the megaman x games on PS), and THE REMAKE OF THE CLASSIC SUPER MARIO BROS TRILOGY FOR CRYING OUT LOUD (which also included the REAL super mario bros 2 which was only released in japan.)

you cant beat that, you just CANT beat that. these are all classics loved by many. youd be hard pressed to find somebody who didnt like a lot of these games.

playstation cant go up against that, im sorry. and this is nothing really, im missing a shitload of classic games still. SOMEBODY ELSE ADD TO THIS LIST WHY THE SNES IS BETTER

oh my god youre a genius. you mentioned some japarese titles that we cant get our hands on though, and im sure playstation has a shit load of those. =[.  playstation never had something as cool as E.V.O. - Search for Eden, though.  =]

You're right, PS does have a lot of japan only games, but the SNES had a load more than the PS ever had. That's not counting the Super Famicon versions of Classic games from the NES, limited editions like the Chrono Trigger limited edition with Character, Monster, Item and Sound Gallery, and many others ;).

E.V.O is one of the most brilliant games i've ever played, the way you actually manipulate each individual part of your body to better suit the needs of the enviroment you're at, and to better suit your playing style as well. To me, one of the best parts of the game was when you end the Fish era, and see your animal evolve into a Tetrapode, it was really superb ;)
