I meant Holiday 2007, not 2008. Mods please change title.
First, I know the Wii will win this Holiday. The Wii is wonderful, god's gift to console gaming, etc., etc., etc. This thread is not about the Wii.
Europe seems to be the most "swing state" for this holiday console war, if you use US political terms.
Japan will most definitely go PS3
America will most definitely go 360
I'm going to bet Europe will overall go PS3, with UK tending a little to the 360.
With Halo 3 and price cut, 360 sales maxed out at around 80k, but rapidly declining to 40k a couple weeks later.
No Killer Apps and considerably and still considerable more expensive, PS3 jumped to close to 80 k with the price cut.
I expect normal sales for 360 to go back to 30-35k in EU, and PS3 to go to 50-55k.
So what will sell more, 360 or PS3 in PAL/Europe Regions?
"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY." --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
