Sorry guys but I think that no online multiplayer on a premier title such as this is just inexcusable at this point. I can guarantee that the majority of Sony/MS developed games will include online modes from now on unless it is a 40+ hour RPG or something and even then it might.

Big N has a TON of money to invest in online at this point but they are cheap and don't want to go beyond renting out Gamespy's servers which it turns out are woefully inadequate if The Conduit is any indication.

Punch-Out! should have had an online mode where you could play as any character and specials require a meter to fill up to use. NSMB not having online after Little Big Planet did 4 player online platforming last year is ridiculous, and Wii Sport Resort not having an online multiplayer is ridiculous as well.

I think Nintendo made a smart move releasing an affordable console with focus on control rather than graphics since the majority of the world had not jumped on the HD bandwagon at the console's launch. Nintendo may be laughing all the way to the bank now but they may not be able to rely on their blue/red ocean audience to buy their console next gen and they have alienated a large number of their core audience with their lackadaisical approach to online this gen. Also, it is pretty obvious at this point that despite the lead in number of users, games on the HD consoles just sell better because casual gamers buy far less software.

Why did it take so long to finally release a storage solution? Since there is a solution now why aren't they patching games with bugs and offering more DLC? Why does it take forever for games to come out on the VC/Wiiware? Why isn't there a headset solution? Why do they cling to friend codes when it is pretty obvious that they alienate gamers and are difficult to use for casual gamers interested in online?
