TRUE RACING FANS will get GT5, period. That doesn't mean SOME of those true racing fans won't get Forza 3, too. But every true racing game fan will undoubtedly get GT5 and if that means buying a PS3 for it, they will do it. Many real racing ONLY fans will jump on GT5 just like many did with the PSone and PS2 Gran Turismo games.

No, TRUE racing sim fans will get both (provided they have the necessary system/funds)  Anyone that says one of the games is much better than the other is not a true racing fan.

why buy 2 similar products if one is better ?

Forza will be inferior no weather night racing and especially no rally already prove that.  Lack of rally will hurt Forza badly in Europe, GT5 will slaughter it there.  While Nascar done right could bring that massive loyal as hell nascar fanbase over to GT.  I played some nascar games and they were rather mediocre that being no surprise with EA behind it.

Also Turn ten can't compete with Pd relationships with in the automotive world.  They will always be by far second rate there and will never get access to cars that PD gets.

The only thing Forza ever had over GT was damage, but even with that most knew it was fake unrealistic damage and did not care much about it.

If a Enzo cost as much a a Viper, why would any one buy the Viper ?

Because one is not better, they offer two slightly different experiances, and thus, are both worth purchasing.

To most people Weather and night racing is just not all that important (was that even a confirmed no for when Forza3 comes out? I know other specs were going to be better upon release) Who is to say the NASCAR is going to be done right? If you can't tweak the cars (track bar adjustments, tiure pressure, gear ratios, carbourator jets, stuff like that) and you don't have 43 people racing online, then it will be crappier than the EA versions ( Nascar is about strategy and finding ways to get just a little more performance than your compeditor)

Forza has two ups over GT, Damage and Car customizability ( is that even a word? lol) While not important to all (although I would think anybody who was miffed about not having Weather and night racing would be just as miffed about not having damage) Many find the customizing very important to retain a good image while playing online, and the damage (even if it is "unrealistic") is actually very important to people looking for a more real experiance, (after all, who wants to be bouncing off of walls? A noob could win races just by bullying their way around the better drivers)

Forza Damage is un-realistic, but while GT still doesn't have it......sure......it's an andvantage for Forza. Oh, and in GT if you crash, you get an appropriate slow down penalty which really fucks up your chances of winning so your comment is wrong.

And about having a 'real' experience, it would be better if Forza 3 actually handled like real cars. Watch a few videos of F3 to see what Im talking about. I mean in real life you can't just wave side to side comfortably round a corner at 180mph, and in real life when you hit the brakes hard the rear actually spins oit of control.

Slow down doesn't matter if you are craching into other cars, they slow down just as much as you do, and since they weren't expecting it, they will have a harder time recovering. So yes, my comment is right.

Yes, Yes you can "wave" from side to side if your car is set up properly, it's very difficult to do, but is possible. Also, you are talking about the other Forza games, Forza 3 should be much better in that aspect. Oh, and you say it isn't more realistic even when there is a thread around here somewhere that has a video of two professional race car drivers who played both games and gave FOrza a bigger thumbs up in terms of realism. But I guess some kid who lives in his moms basement feeding off of cheetos all day long would know better that Race car drivers.

No, your comment fails. Noobs cant win in GT by bumping off barriers, Im sorry, obviously you aint played it. Oh, and the video you are referring to is an insideracingsim video, and them two guys are not pro drivers. Jeremy Clarkson says GT handles better and he knows a hell of alot more about driving cars than them two.......put together.

Just actually stop talking garbage about kids locked in basements and watch the video through this link. http://www.n4g.com/xbox360/News-360500.aspx

Ok I bite!

If you read my last post (you clearly have fogged up your goggles) you would have read that I said " Slow down doesn't matter if you are crashing into other cars, they will slow down just as much" and hey, you could even bounce off them and propell yourself ahead, so yes, A noob could win a race by doing that.

Now, the video I was talking about, I cannot find, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. However, even if the guys are not real race car drivers, they play a LOT of sims, and know a lot more than your average gamer, who btw usually gets stuck driving minivans and old beaters not Ferraris and Lambos. Jeremy Clarkson is one person, it is entirely possible that he was payed to say that, However, since there is no proof, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.  Seriously, if you want to talk realism, lets talk about the damage. GT didn't have it, all it had was a slow down effect...thats not very realistic, especially if you can still bounce off of other cars to bully your way around a track.

Now, I watched part of the video (it was varry laggy even though it was fully buffered) and I don't get what your point was. It has nothing to do with Kids locked in a basement, and there were obviously a few assists turned on, and damage, turned off.

Now, the comment I said about kids being locked in a basement...sounds like I hit a nerve there...hmmm... Anyway, I was obviously exaggerating for effect, but I guess I can't expect you to understand that, you're blood must be boiling right about now...I guess thats the differance between you and I. I want both games, I'm not trolling GT5...just the fanboys, I am willing to admit when I am wrong, I am not afraid to look at the facts, I am not afraid to say that either game has flaws (although at this point it time it is hard to tell). I guess thats what separates the men from the boys, and the real gamers from the fanboys.

Right, we can talk sensibly again

First off, the first argument of your's simply does not work and will be solved in GT5 with damage. I understand your logic, but there is not enough corners/opportunities to bump off other cars to get an advantage in GT5p. Noobs can't win, but I agree this needs fixed (and it will be).

Jeremy Clarkson has driven around 80% of cars made in the last 20 years, and he races them around the top gear track. He could of been payed to say what he does, but then the same applies to every so called 'pro' who talks up Forza. Clarkson is a GT fan though and writes these things in his newspaper column so its very very unlikely.

And about that video, even though assists are on that car moves far to quickly and accurate when going round a corner at 300kmph compared to its real life counterpart. Heavy braking also should make the rear at least slide a bit.

And my blood is not boiling, Im just fed up with 360 fans claiming they are 'ultimate racers' who sit and play Forza with a d-pad and think it's just like real life, and then because some douche company (T10) says it's better than GT (The king) they believe it. I back up my arguments with alot of good points, and I do not hate Forza. I think GT is quite a bit ahead of Forza, and Ive told you why. Thats not fanboyish, thats having an opinion.
