Because the name is just "Wii", it is the same thing when people call The "SNES" the "Super Nintendo" which is sort of the same thing. That is just me I do not know how others feel.

Yes.  The official name is just "Wii".  On all official documents and public relations media the corporate name is not to appear along side the product name.  Nintendo wanted the console to have its own branding instead of relying on the company name.  "Nintendo" does not appear in the US trademark for the consoles name...just "Wii".
