We know Excitebots bombed abominably, and that it was Nintendo's fault for not even making a short TV ad, while on the other hand they keep on advertising Mario Kart, Wii Fit, etc. Nintendo products are becoming niche, mainly because no one knows about them. I fear this might make Nintendo focus only on their most important franchises while the rest disappears. Hopefully Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Pikmin, F-Zero, Kid Icarus and all those new IP's from the October conference will make it someday to the USA, but all points at the new IP's never coming and those old classic IP's being finally killed in favor of more Mario, Metroid, Zelda and Wii series. I'm a bit sad now. |
To be honest, what pisses me off alot is that games like Mario Kart DS still have commercials.
I approve of announcing games late into their development cycles or even when they're done but this is just awful.
Pixel Art can be fun.
