I agree with the OP. Wii isn't getting the same 3rd party support PS2 did. The biggest reason for this is, that the devs don't want to make Wii games, they want to make HD games and they don't know how to make Wii games. They have games that improve only in graphics section for too long to know how to make games with appealing gameplay. So, when they make a Wii game (that often is half-assed) it's not going to sell in big numbers and then complain about it.

It's not because the games won't sell, it's because nobody wants to make games on outdated hardware. That's really all there is to it. The PS2 was less powerful than the competition, but it was powerful enough.

i agree with you

Thats not ALL true. Remember the huge 3rd party support for the GC and N64 (both arguably the strongest console of its gen). Sine the PS1 many western developers want to create 'cool' games, games that generally dont involve Nintendo. Theres that stigma that Nintendo isnt cool (thank Sega Genesis) also.

GC actually had a good 3rd party support out of the gate, but due to GC being lackluster in sales, the support dried up right after the launch.

Hmm, ps3 and xbox360 use outdated hardware. Rephrase your sentence because what you just said is horribly wrong.

So he should correct it to that Wii uses ancient hardware?

He should write that 'all' consoles are outdated by their launch.

But I think he meant that Wii is a lot more outdated when compared to X360 and PS3. Wii uses basically last gen tech.

Sheesh, they all use last gen tech, if this is how we want to put it, Wii just isn't pushing the performance available with the tech.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.
