Funny, I just played Soulblazer on my SNES emulator yesterday and this thread pops up xD I'm on Leo's Lab, just before the Giant Robot boss. The game is really great, and it was such a good beginning to a great saga with soulblazer/illusion of time/terranigma.

The thing is SE will never re-release this game, it isn't that well know even for the people of the SNES generation, and they know that it wouldn't be profitable for them, and that's what SE has become this past years, just a money-caring company.

It's a little more complicated than "lol moniez" (especially since any business that isn't "money-caring" is stupid).

You may wonder why Square Enix can churn ou Final Fantasy games and remakes on the DS while old Enix franchises like Actraiser, E.V.O. and Soul Blazer disappear. Besides Square's franchises being more recognizable, it's the fact that Square and Enix worked very differently.

Enix didn't have its own inhouse developers. Games like Soul Blazer were made by independent teams like Quintet that were contracted by Enix. So if they want to remake it...who do they give it to? Square has its own teams so they can easily shift their franchises around, Enix would either have to get in contact with the original developers (who may not even want to revisit their old projects) or clear out Square's queue of games that are arguably better ventures just to revive old dead franchises. Now if Enix really wanted to they could make this happen and I remember them talking about maybe doing a new Actraiser back when MLaaK came out, but it's not as simple as toplay the blame game.
