Because Wii Sports, and Mario and Sonic have proved better party games, and WSResort is coming too..... and it is one of the few areas where third parties are actually making an effort on the Wii.

Mario Party is no longer needed, and I am pefectly fine with that.


I'm no MP fan myself but it's obviously an easy seller on Wii and it's bizarre that it's seemingly discontinued.  More bizarre because it's Hudson not Nintendo making them so it's not taking from Nintendo's resources.  I don't think Wii games quite cater to the same crowd although there is some overlap.    I expected MP9 with balance board and MP10 with BB & WM+ support but so far nothing.   Love to know the thinking behind that decision.
