And look at which systems it is selling on. Getting 360 owners to buy a Michael Jackson game is like trying to convince your mother to buy you porn as a 12-year-old- not gonna happen. I see .12m tops on that system.
PS3 owners are more forgiving, maybe .26m or something. Plus I see an unusual amount of Sony fans with MJ avatars and such.
Wii owners are mostly casual, so that means it has many people who unfortunately believe all the garbage spewed about MJ's personal life and the insistence that he is a sick person, even though barely anyone knew him personally. I'm guessing slightly less than PS3- .21m
Overall, I think that is .59m all around? Whatever the amount, it won't make it past 1m. I'm pretty confident in that. |
Are you really stereotyping the Wii audience as those people who believe MJ was a pedophile? As in, it's not immature tweens on X-Box live? ... Really? SMH
I think the game will do okay, but it will have lost it's major selling point by that time.

I said (indirectly) that the Xbox group would be the least likely to get the game because of the reason you had there. They didn't see the Oprah interview from 1993 where he spilled the beans on parts of his life. Instead, all they have is South Park episodes.
And Wii owners, those casual parents are the ones who would do the same thing. Some Wii owners would actually get it, but with such a large userbase, the majority would be "casuals" that wouldn't even think of buying an MJ game.
