I am not going to argue that night racing and weather changes aren't necessary. I will just say that comparing Forza 3 to other simpler games which had those features is very unfair.

Why? Because Forza 3 aims to be a much more realistic game than those other games. It's not hard to implement half-assed weather changes which don't correctly change the physics. It's much harder to do it correctly with realistic physics, which is how Turn 10 would want to do it if they had the budget/time for it.

My point? Compare Forza 3 to GT5 all you want, but don't criticize Forza 3 for not having features that simpler games have.

Yep.

So a definitive racing sim of the gen means they don't have time/budget to include extra features.

Or the extra features are too hard for them?

That's been PD's excuse all these years, looks like it will have to fly for Turn 10 too.  Come back smack talking when you:

1. Get a release date for GT5

2. Get confirmation that GT5 includes more features than FM3

3. Have actually played FM3 and realised what a GT fanboy you are that will blinker you from playing another great sim racer.

Just for the supposed car fanatics criticizing FM3, Alex Wurz, a driver with quite a bit of talent reckons the physics engine is the best available to the commercial market having played the game.  Given AW has driven on the McLaren simulator too I'd suggest his opinion holds more weight than all of you especially, given he has actually played the game unlike the rest of you haters.

Why are you preaching to us about how they haven't played GT5? Have you played GT5, in order to properly bash it? Or because Forza is closer to release, GT automatically sucks? I haven't played FFXIII because it's so far from release, but I could tell you that was going to be better than Infinite Undiscovery before IU released.

Secondly, the mere fact that GT has 800 cars standard, and Forza has less than 400 standard (taking into consideration Arcade owners), and now the news that these other features aren't being implemented, how is it even arguable that Forza has more features than GT? I bet the only reason that GT is taking so long is because they're jamming full of extra features. You think the addition of NASCAR just coded itself into the game?

I see Forza as an analogy to the 360. You try your best to get a jump on the competition by releasing early (360 releasing a year early), but you end up falling on your ass (RRoD)
