Why I think people ridicule the 3rd and 4th generations of Pokemon so much.

because the new pokemons designs are horrible. There's just too many legendary pokemon now, its a shame. Lugia, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mewtwo just don't feel as special as they once were.
