During the 16-bit gen, Nintendo had major compettion from Sega, in the 8-bit gen they did not. Nintendo WAS the 8-bit gen, no other way to look at it. And if anyone thought the 64 losing that gen was PS1's fault, they don't know their history. And although the PS1 sold more for many reasons, it was mainly due to cartridges which was Nintendo's fault.

It's the same as this gen, the Playstation 3 will mainly lose it because of Sony, not because of the Xbox 360 or Wii.

We think a like then :) But didn't sega have an 8 bit console? Wasn't born then, so just asking

The master system and its still being made in Brazil.

It was the best selling console in the UK or maybe Europe I believe until the PS1 came out.
