If sony only made software who should they support?

But if I remember correctly when the Xbox first came out Sega supported it with alot of exclusive games. Though I am not sure if Microsoft "moneyhatted" them

Yeah, I remember that. All the games flopped, and they were forced to support the PS2 and Gamecube, where their games were much more successful. At least, if memory serves.
