Bull. 1M on a Wii game almost always means profit. It would have to cost more than an HD game to not make loads of net income at that. And since Capcom had to wait years for getting any profit from RE5, they would certainly want even more to make up for that lost time.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
