Yes....a multi-billion dollar publisher making empty threats. I love it. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

It's an attempt to put pressure on Sony to cut the price of their machine, which would lead to more HD consoles on the market and a larger potential customer base for HD Activizion games.

It's in their interest for a PS3 price cut to occur, and as such, Bobby Kotick is using his position to try and persuade Sony to play their hand.

What you might see, in the worst possible situation, is Activizion cutting down on the amount of games appearing on the PS3. Their bread and butter staples like Guitar Hero and COD will not be going anywhere though.

This whole threat is made in the interest of making money. Activizion will not throw away millions of potential sales.
