I see it like this. Every type of game except fighting games like Tekken and SF can benefit from motion + IR but no one will see that until all console have the same motion controller with ir (or use motion to control a pointer/reticule) and uses it in there favorite game. Its just that a lot of gamers are being unreasonably because of the name Nintendo or they been playing games one way for their whole life and just do want to see the possibles of some other control making things easier. Thats what i see when i play with the wiimote, things are made easier.
JRPG- using the pointer would make selecting things way more easier and faster just like using the pointer for the wii menu instead of going in this rotation chain with a analog stick. For motion they could do something like swing the wiimote by an on screen directions (like NMH, Ghostbusters) like how you would do with buttons (Xenogears) to do combos.
Boxing- I'm very good at punchout with the nunchuk+ wiimote. It's very fast to me. Fight Night would be great with motion controls.
