I have always liked the Wii's IR controls. Games like Trauma Center rock.
Most motion controls aren't been very beneficial for the genres i like. It really detracts from the experience when they don't work properly and I wished they had a fully accurate remote before attempting.
I wish that PC developers would give us an IR gaming renaissance on the Wii. I suppose they are too busy making pretty graphics.
