I see. I'm not offended myself but I happen to know that this is the kind of thread that gets people riled up in here... 
I do agree that there is a lot of complaining in here (and out there) regarding devs and everyone tends to dislike those who do not support, or support fully, their console. The Wii fansbase's relationship with Capcom is one example and PS3 fans' feelings towards Valve another. All in all, the reason there's so much noise this gen is that this is simply the most bloody one yet and the relatively close race this time around seems to make matters even worse. Where before one console would trounce the others and the fans of ones left in the dust would simply resign and realize there was no way, there is hope this gen for followers of all three and we've seen some amazing turnarounds!
There are simply more feelings in this gen than in previous ones, much due to the fact that there are a lot more people participating in debates such as these (everyone has internet now and more people buy consoles and games than in previous gens) and also what I mentioned above.
Fanboys have always been around but the ones in this gen are beyond rabid. All one can do is enjoy the show, I must admit that I take slight sadistic pleasure in some of the bickering at times, especially the really silly points. I do get sick of people saying the same things though (-insert console here- is doomed/underperforming/has better or worse games etc).
