I think it's just when companies say they wont develop for the PS3 because it is too difficult to develop for, when obviously it is not that difficult since there are hundreds of games already out on it. And when a company uses that as a reason not to develop for the PS3(whether it is the REAL reason or not) it's not that much of a stretch to call them what you described. Exaggerated maybe, but the initial reason is already taking a stab at the PS3 and it's architecture, so it starts the tone of being negative not the PS3 fans.
I don't hear many people complaining that Bungie is lazy and a fat pig because they decided to be loyal and stick to developing for MS even though they are independent now.
P.S. it doesn't help when your company's most outspoken person fits the image of a fat lazy pig to a T. i.e. Valve.
