Really? I haven't seen it on that list. I'll have to check some of the underground sites to see what Atlus' plans are. Demon's Souls is the only PS3 release that I have seen and I'm still on the fence on whether to support that one or not. It looks to be an action RPG with online play elements and pretty cool graphics but I would have much preferred Atlus to make their debut on the PS3 with Megaten. |
"Atlus' role-playing series is in development for Sony's next-generation console; details yet to come."
"Ever since the Megami Tensei series made its debut on the Famicom (Japanese NES) in 1987, the franchise has been Atlus' most popular product, aside from the Print Club sticker machines that died out in the 1990s. It's no surprise that the company would capitalize on the franchise's notoriety by kicking off its next-generation development with a familiar face.
According to the latest issue of Famitsu, Atlus has announced it is currently developing a new Shin Megami Tensei game for Sony's PlayStation 3. No details have been disclosed, but the company may release some additional information during the Tokyo Game Show next week.
The latest Shin Megami game announced by Atlus is a series spin-off for the PlayStation 2, titled Devil Summoner: Kuzunoha Raidou. No release date has been announced for the game yet."

That article is from 2005. Nothing has been heard of since then.
