(video)

Did anyone else notice that the game is running at about 75% (or less) of the speed the Wii version does?  It really stands out on the jumps and spins.  Mario hangs in the air too long on the jumps, and the spins look really slow.  Seems like a game breaker to me.

That depends on the hardware you are using, and the software in the background.(you know he is at least using fraps which will slow it down some).

So it is trying to display every frame at a slower speed instead of skipping frames and playing at the right speed?

Well I've seen the same thing in other emulators, and then when you put it on a better pc it works faster. Sometimes it is the emulators issue though.(an example is the PSP-N64 emualtor my friend had a few months ago could only play SM64 at those speeds in this video, then a few months later it could play it full speed. Hm looking from this video framerate DOES tie into speed.  Notice that he is going faster when there are higher framerates and slower with the lower. I believe there is an option in a lot of emulators to NOT skip frames anyway. Also the performance looks a lot faster in this video. This is probably due to this person running it on lower settings.
