With that in mind, we gave the Sheriff his own AI brain and set him loose at a random point in the demo level. He runs around screaming like a maniac and any nearby monsters try to take a bite out of him. It turned out to be a lot of fun to try to save him, especially since you can't predict what monsters will be in the location or when you will see him. At the end of the level, if you do save the Sheriff, you're given a monetary bonus that you can use for equipment upgrades and other special stuff.
