Nice pickup. I've been researching HDTVs nonstop for about the past three months and I can't make a decision.
Right now I'm leaning toward the Vizio 50" plasma but that's not a certainty by any means.
The wife recently gave me permission to buy a new TV around my birthday (early December) so I've got a bit of time to think about it some more.
I recently did a test on my current HDTV with the movie 300 from XBLM and after that, I decided that 1080p just isn't in the cards for me right now. Between watching 300 in 1080i and seeing Blu-ray in 1080p, I'm just not that impressed. Well, not impressed enough to cough up ~$500 extra for a 1080p set.
