Albert Einstein - The most important person of the 20th century.

Allen Turing was more important then Einstein.

hmm... I forgot about him. I'd still go for Einstein.

I would say Einstein =/= Turing.

Both men are seen as the 'genesis' in their field. The big guy, doesn't get any bigger. Like Darwin is to evolutionary biology.

Yea, but Turing’s contributions are much more impactful.  He is probably the single most influential person responsible for a WWII victory by the allied forces.

Not to mention defining what a computer is, I mean, you’re looking at this right now on a Turing Machine. Not to many Einstein Machines around :p

Satellite transmissions are only possible because of general relativity. So that means no TV or internet without Einstein :P

Plus he gave the first explanation of a quantum phenomena (Plank made the first observation). He also explained Brownian motion. Einstein probably contributed more in one year (1905) than any physicist has in their lifetime since.
