Ps3 to be #1 in Japan weekly sales by the end of the month?

You just made this up. I love when people link something and say: "See?" when that link actually shows that they're wrong.

PS3 sales went up 3,000 units last week, to 13,000 -- but sales of the system had been falling for 7 weeks consecutively before that. That is, according to the link you just provided me. A 3,000 unit climb for one single week when the PS3 is already behind by over 2.3 million units in Japan is a pretty desperate claim for a growing trend.

You're right. I overlooked the chart data (I'm at work :( ).

I will just wait 2 weeks to see if the PS3 comes up ahead or not. Predictions for this week put PS3 at about the same 12-14k and another drop for Wii (from 23k to about 20k).

 

media create shows a drop for PS3 13.1k to 10.8k for last week (which vgchartz hasn't updated yet).  Wii also dropped, so did 360, ps2, and PSP.  There's no real trend here yet, numbers are fluctuating up and down, we have to wait and see.
