I don't have the game yet, but this is what I think I will go for regarding button mapping: (can't say for sensitivity and such till I try it)

Mapping:

A:                              Jump
B:                              Shoot
C:                              Zoom
Z:                              Target Lock

D-Up:                        "Spin"
D-Down:                    Crouch
D-Left:                       Switch Weapon
D-Right:                     Next Grenade

+:                              Pause
-:                               Reload/Pickup
1:                              ASE
2:                              Scores (MP only)

Shake Nunchuck :     Throw Grenade
Thrust Wiimote :        Melee

Top 4 are priority controls set to the buttons with immediate access, the d-pad does weapon changing and additional movement controls (I may swap spin and crouch depending on which is needed the most... I suspect if I can set it up correctly I won't need spin barring exceptional circumstances, so crouch takes precedent on the d-down) Then the non-priority controls fit the lower Wii remote buttons, with reload on the minus button as it is easy to access. Finally the motion based attacks fit where intended. Oh, and target lock and zoom could be swapped too, again depending on which seems most important fitting on the Z-trigger... I would guess target lock is a holding button, while zoom is a click on/off feature so it is better for target to be on the Z-trigger.

Although didn't someone mention you can't set crouch to toggle? if so then I may swap that with zoom instead (so target lock still on Z, Zoom on d-down and crouch on c-button)
