Good reason is to make more money than had they not made a price cut? I think thats a good enough reason. Just because its the cheapest, doesn't mean it can't be cheaper. The Xbox 360 Premium is very close in price to the PS3 once you consider a certain user who almost certainly gets a Live subscription for example. Its very deceptive that way.
The reason why they are doing the reshuffle is to clear both the Elite/Premium stock so they can introduce new SKUs. Its the reason why they did the Arcade changeover earlier this year so the Xbox 360 isn't completely out of stock as the rejig their SKUs.
