No sir, none of that is true. Those are malicious claims from a umbuntu fan, imo. All beta testers disagree, and even PSRock. Also, you pulled the 10 percent out of your ass, and to many, even a 10 percent improvement is worth 49.99, and also, almost nobody wants to use ubuntu.

i just installed dualbooting to ubuntu fully when 9 came out. and i try 7 RC1 on the same pc.
it's still a vista make over, 7 was still memory hungry and ate cpu cycles like crazy.

Man, that computer you say has really low specs and a slow processer. It is not made to use modern programs anyway. Of course it doesn't need a gaming/business OS.
You can buy that computer for less than you can buy Windows 7.
