One thing people need to clear out is the fact that ps3's failure rate is below 1%. So the 200$ repairs are less likely to happen, unless people treats their console like an utter crap.

IF needed to repair, then the ps3 is more expensive than the 360.

But that's not the case for every ps3's out there, only a bunch have had problems.

So yes, the ps3 is cheaper. If you would like everything the ps3 has to offer on a 360,then the 360 would be more expensive.

B...bu...but....you HAVE to count the PS3 repair cost because the 360 fails over 30% of the time. It's unfair that the PS3 fails less than 1% of the time, so you have to include its' repair costs in order to make it equal to the 360. /sarcasm

And everyone shit talking wireless. I *only* use wireless (whether for internet browsing or for gaming) and I have NEVER had a problem. So all this talk about it being a "POS" or not being able to "stream from the next room" is complete and utter BS.

And I saw somewhere on here with the Arcade being used instead of the Pro, and then saying they have wifi and LIVE. You need an HDD for LIVE, so unless you factor that in, your point about the cost is invalid. And if eBay is going to be brought into discussion, then:

http://catalog.ebay.com/Sony-PlayStation-3_98013?_fifpts=1&_pcatid=22&_pid=71241357&_refkw=playstation+3&_trksid=p3286.c0.m271

But of course, we're talking about RETAIL

Ok, talk about retail - and guess what? Gamestop offers the wifi adaptor for $69. You know how I know? I bought 2, got 1 free and flipped them AND got one of them free. The Arcade is here and guess what? It's the cheapest way to break into HD gaming. Whether you laugh it off or not, it's here and plays a vast majority of 360 games. For a person without LIVE access, it's perfect. As D21 stated, why have to be forced with options unnecessary for gaming? So what if it fails? You have a solid one-year warranty, plus 3 years if you get RROD.

And wireless is a luxury. The 360 has an ethernet port, so you can go online if you want to.

We can spend all day going back and forth, but go to your local Best Buy and see which system rings up for $213. I beat it won't be a PS3.
