Actually, Haze basically killed Free Radical. It's one of the biggest flops of this generation.

But they didn't publish it, so how could it kill Free Radical?

Free Radical was an independent developer, much like High Voltage Software. I presume they financed a big portion of Haze's development themselves.

Besides, it's not like developers can't lose any money when their game flops just because some third party published it.

I can imagine the conversation.

Free Radical Employee 1: "Alright, let's develop this game so that if it flops, we go bankrupt and are forced to close down the company."

Free Radical Employee 2: "And let's make sure it sucks, so that no one buys it."

Really, what was the thought process there?

I'm sorry, was that a jab at me or at the game? I'm not saying they deliberately made a bad game, hell I haven't even played the game.
