Wii Fit certainly has amazing sales but its weekly numbers will drop dramatically once Wii Fit Plus is released since that game will also sell with a Balance Board. Thus Wii Fit's momentum will not hold. That opens it up for other contenders to eventually move in.

One thing to consider though is that the original Brain Age still maintained better legs than its sequel. Wii Fit's momentum might not be cut off.

True. Anything is possible. However, I doubt Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus will follow the same pattern.  Wii Fit incorporates the Wii Balance Board that came with several tweaks and technical limitations. As a result Wii Fit was not as refined as it could have been. WFP will most likely improve on that. If its anything like Wii Sports versus Wii Sports Resort those improvements will be very noticeable. Combined with a huge advertising campaing that will attract many consumers who were originally hesitant to buy the original. However, Nintendo may re-release Wii Fit as a stand alone disc sometime in the future to cash in on the expanded market created by Wii Fit Plus.
