I see that there is a S-Video cable available from Nintendo's online store that should function for both the N64 and the SNES. It states that it is not compatible with the re-designed SNES, however. I'm not sure this would really make a huge difference for you though, as you failed to notice much of a difference between composite and component for NTSC content on your TV (other than progressive output)...
