lets c:
ODST- since it is an expansion pack/game, we've never really seen this type of standalone game. I will say increase, comparing it to nothing else. obviously, it won't outsell the juggernaut that was H3, but the numbers will probably be around 4-6 millions.
SPLINTER CELL- this game will be an icrease compared to the last one. which was double agent I believe. splinter cell DA probably sold around 2 + million on all formats. with conviction being an exclusive to the 360, with an already 360 install base for this series. this game will probably sell 3 + million.
UNCHARTED 2- well, with all the hype that the sony kids and the media have been giving this game. It shoulnd't be a surprise increase. It had a nice showing @ E3 this year and even impressed me with its ubisoft acrobatic-ness. the base is there, the fans are there, the developer is good. shouldn't disappoint.
FORZA 3- well its predecessor sold 4 million LTD. so I will say increase. a lot of that was bundled, in the US and in europe. let's see, the forza series has a huge following in the 360 community (probably cause it's an exclusive); coupled with the fact that the install base has about tripled if not quadrupled since the last forza game.
AC2- I head what a lot of you guys are saying, but I will say increase. the original sold 4.5 on the 360 and 3.4 on the ps3, combined thas about 8 million give and take, right? so we consider the fact that the original was liked by mainstream, trust me they did, one of my boys kept yelling about it after refusing to leave my dorm for 2 days while he tried beating it. I thought it was meh (sorry 'bout dat, lol).I believe with enough ads and hype behind this, it will probably sell more than the original.
L4D2- this is is hard...with all the "let's hate on valve for not releasing a sequel, when WE are ready!!11" thing. I agree, with the first still selling every week, releasing a sequel so quickly will only hurt the sales for the second. until, valve finds a way to recover the trust of it's community, I will say decrease.
MW2- y o y did they decide to drop the name CoD? i suppose they realized when CoD 14 comes out, it would of looked silly. so they decided to open a new sub-series. ok, great idea i say, for the long run that is. like valve until infinity ward, figures out a way to remind the yearly CoD buyers that this is really the same old dirt under the rock, i will be skeptical. However, let's forget that activision knows how to market their games, so increase.
Ratchet/Clank- the only time i played this game was at best buy. so i can't really tell, but from what we've been witnessing of the series, I don't think it will do well. I believe the R&C, jack and dexter, sly cooper, the bear one, the lizard one, the kain one and all those other platformer/action games were really last gen games. I believe that as of this gen, we've niched ourselves into couple of genres and kind of forgot the rest. mario doesn't count...
doesn't the wii have something coming out? since i don't have, it's really hard to extrapolate something for it...
