Rune Factory might be a good bet if you like harvest moon like games, as well as Little King's Story when it comes out in a few more weeks.
If you really want an RPG I would suggest Disgaea 3 and Eternal Sonata before I go the route that Soriku suggests. But if you end up with a choice between that and Cross Edge then you should definitely go with ToS2.
