I didn't hate the name "Wii" when I first heard about it, but like most people, I didn't understand it.
"Huh, I thought it was called 'Revolution' before. Did they misspell 'Wifi'?" I wondered.
Only when I saw the E3 clip of the Wii logo with the two little i's taking a bow did I say to myself, "Oh, I get it now." I was a lapsed gamer at the time, and "Revolution" did nothing for me. The cute little clip of the Wii logo with the i's jumping around--coupled with an explanation of the Wii's philosophy--completely enamored me.
