Because they're the only platforms that matters in Japan. Hell... anywhere. Any Sony platform alone completely destroys all the other put together in terms of software sales! Hell... in any terms!

Give it a rest. I don't know how WSR can release and no older software gets a rise as well. That's usually what happens when big titles release.

That's because Wii doesn't sell software. At all. And of course this is due to powerness of Sony's sales ;)

It's easy to see that WSR didn't bring a lot of new users to the Wii. So why do you think it would push old software sales?
